September 25 - Ceilidh at 7:30 pm at the Irish Cultural Centre, 582 North River Road will feature popular island music group Guinness, with Laura, Jim and Paddy Farrell. Guest fiddler will be Flora MacLaine. Step dancers will be Grace Sulis-Chaisson and Lillianna Bradley.
Jim and Laura Farrell are the husband, wife and son trio musically known as Guinness. They have been entertaining audiences throughout North America and Ireland since 1981. Their repertoire consists mainly of traditional and contemporary Irish, Scottish and Maritime music played on a variety of instruments including guitar, 5-string banjo, fiddle, mandolin and tin whistle, as well as two strong vocals.
Based in Prince Edward Island, Canada, their musical travels have taken them all over North America. In Canada, from Newfoundland to Ontario and the New York State, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Florida in the United States. They have also had the pleasure of traveling…
