September 11 - The Ceilidh in the Katherine Hughes Memorial Hall in the Irish Cultural Centre at 582 North River Road will feature local singer/songwriter Sue Pitre accompanied by singer Frank Whitty on Guitar. Buddy Longaphie will accompany Sue and Frank on the fiddle. Havenwood Dancers will be stepdancing.
Sue Pitrie is a singer at many ceilidhs., senior homes and benefits on the Island. She has a CD called "A Smile And A Song”. Sue is a Walmart Greeter here in Charlottetown and has greeted many customers at Walmart with her many songs. She was selected in 2018 as their National Walmart Greeter for Canada.
Frank Whitty sings some of the classic songs that made legends of country music artists such as Sammy Kershaw, Moe Bandy and George Jones, who passed away earlier this year after a career that spanned more than 50 years. Mr Whitty said, referring to inarguably one of the most well…
