August 21 - Ceilidh at the Irish Hall featuring Macaroon’s Stephanie Rooney, Mark Rooney and Scott Kaye with guest fiddler Allison Giggey and step dancer Isla Rousseaux-Bridle.
This group plays Celtic and Maritime music primarily and they are very good. Stephanie Rooney, Scott Kaye, and Stephanie's husband Mark Rooney.
Isla Rousseaux-Bridle is a step-dancer and performer based in Prince Edward Island (PEI), often appearing alongside fiddler Richard Wood and fellow dancer Alexis MacLaren. It will her first time on stage at the BIS so we are looking forward to seeing her dance.
There will be a 50/50 draw and complimentary ‘lunch’ at intermission. The Hall is air-conditioned and licensed. Our elevator is currently out of service. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:30 pm. Tickets at the door - $20 or $5 (12 and under). A portion of the proceeds will go to benefiting the society’s benevolent activities.
