About the event
To celebrate the BIS 200-Year Anniversary the Society has participated in the creation of a Historic Tour of the St. Patrick's Ancestral Cemetery in Ft. Augustus. The Ft. Augustus Original Settler's Association spearheaded a project in recent years to give a facelift to their ancestral cemetery. In support of the BIS 200-Year Anniversary, because many Irish settlers are buried in this Cemetery, the BIS has created a brochure to accompany the tour.
The tour takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete and after the tour is finished there is Celtic music and a light lunch in Paddy's Pub next to the Church, both of which are included in the tour. The Tour brochure is a nice keepsake of the event.
The tour begins at the Church steps at 13:45 and the tour will start at 14:00. Pat Duffy of the Ft. Augustus Irish Descendants Association will be your tour guide.
