About the event

To celebrate the BIS 200 year anniversary the Benevolent Irish Society (BIS) has created this special Ancestry Workshop for beginning users of Ancestry.ca.

This beginner-friendly session, offered twice, introduces you to Ancestry.ca, guiding you through account setup, basic search techniques, and how to navigate historical records. Learn how to uncover census records, birth and marriage certificates, and immigration documents to start building your family tree.

Shaun Patterson will be the instructor for this workshop. Shaun has taught this session several times before to a very receptive audience.
