Benevolent Irish Society – 200th year Anniversary Celebration in August of 2025 (August 1 – August 16).

  • 4 headliner events with Richard Wood and Kate Bevan Baker (Summerside College of Piping, Florence Simmons Entertainment Hall, Souris Showhall) 

  • 3 special Ceilidhs (2.5 hours each) 

  • Old Home Week Events (Float, Demo Booth, Cooler Blanket and
    Prize Money) 

  • Ambassador of Ireland Reception at the Irish Hall 

  • Gala Formal Dinner for 300 (serving Traditional Irish Food with Chef Robert Pendergast) 

  • Heritage Cultural Fair (3 days) at the Irish Hall with booths, food, music, dance, workshops 

  • Walking Tour of Charlottetown 

  • Driving Tours of PEI (1 East, 1 West) with Picnic lunches 

  • Irish Artifacts Exhibit at Confederation Centre  

  • Lecture Series (7 PHD scholars have agreed to speak) 

  • Sister City BIS sponsored Events (Souris, Emyvale/Kelly’s Cross, Emerald/Breadalbane/ Kinkora, Tignish) 

  • Ft. Augustus St. Patrick’s Pioneer Cemetery Tour “A Walk with
    the Ancestors”  

  • Irish Film Festival
